It is turned from a 3-inch round aluminum rod on the metal lathe, shaped into a fluid, elongated form with a gentle bulb-like base and a narrow neck. Its clean, reflective surface speaks to the control and finesse of the lathe process.

Supporting the vase is a cross-shaped base made from solid brass and walnut, each component precisely slotted and milled to interlock. These two intersecting forms cradle the vase's round base, providing physical stability and visual structure.
