Routine Attachment

Kessler Higdon's senior thesis, "Routine Attachment," explores the emotional bond between people and the furniture they live with, the quiet wear accumulated over time, and how that wear deepens our connection to it. This idea is explored through the lives of his grandparents, Tom and Patsy. Their daily rituals are rooted in their shared space and each other. The pieces in this collection are made to be used and to gather marks and memories. They are built to welcome time, not resist it, and are designed with the same tenderness and resilience found in a lasting relationship.
